Handcrafting a

Bold Design for an Iconic Spirit

Distilled to proof, Pisco Portón is a versatile white spirit with a robust history dating back to 1864, Ica, Peru. Handcrafted in small batches at the oldest distillery in the Americas, Hacienda La Caravedo, Pisco Portón uses a traditional mosto verde distilling technique to achieve the perfect pisco.

Our challenge was to create branding and packaging that were as iconic and memorable as the pisco itself, reflecting the centuries of artisanal craftsmanship that goes into each batch. The result, a specially designed frosted and etched bottle with custom weighted brushed aluminum enclosure and thoughtful cues to the brand’s Peruvian heritage. Pisco Portón has been recognized as a Technomic Fast 50 growth brand, winning more than 150 international spirits awards for its taste and quality, and continues to be the #1 exported pisco from Peru to the U.S.

Mock-ups & Renderings

Utilizing a reverse-printed back label, we achieved a window through the clear spirit to view the Pisco Portón distillery, Hacienda La Caravedo.

Each bottle is individually numbered and stamped with the signature of Master Distiller and Medal of Honor recipient by the Peruvian Congress, Johnny Schuler, certifying Pisco Portón as the foremost authority on pisco.
