HBX Wins 5 GDUSA Design Awards

We're excited to announce we have been awarded five 2021 American Graphic Design Awards from GDUSA, the nation's leading B2B information source for graphic design professionals. There were over 10,000 entries submitted across 28 categories this year. Our five 2021 American Graphic Design Awards, include:

Lundberg Family Farms - Logo and Packaging Design

To reflect the brand's distinct personality and its core attributes of healthy, premium foods, HBX modernized the brand identity with a fresher, cleaner logo referencing Lundberg's origins while allowing for a broader application. The packaging design pivots towards a similar, brighter aesthetic that celebrates the product and the brand. HBX then applied the new brand architecture across Lundberg's bulk rice, sides and innovations like Mini Rice Cakes and more.

Ferrara Candy Company - Nerds Candy Package Design

To maintain the heritage of the brand while introducing Nerds characters to a new generation of candy lovers, HBX created a big, colorful world for the Nerds to live in. The simplified and flexible new architecture - with eye-catching blue brandmark of the perfectly imperfect shape of the candy and playful placements of the curious Nerds characters - creates a pop at shelf and supports future extensions, shapes and innovations.

Martha Stewart Foods - Package Design

To support the launch of Martha Stewart's first premium food line, HBX developed a clean, modern architecture that reflects Martha's iconic positioning and separates itself from other competitors on shelf. The mouth-watering, tasty ingredients are made hero and complimented with a simple communication hierarchy to deliver key claims and flavor cues.

Plant Perks - Package Redesign

To celebrate the high-quality ingredients, HBX brings to life flavor using a vibrant, illustrative style that is optimistic and approachable, while also informative. A bold brand architecture was created to be instantly recognizable as well as applicable for future extensions.

Wellpet - CORE Digestive Health eCommerce Design

Following a successful packaging launch, HBX leveraged key design cues and extended them into infographics to create a stoppable and shoppable online experience. Using catchy headlines, short form text and impactful visuals, HBX positioned the product as a solution creating a tangible value for pet parents and pets alike.

The American Graphic Design Awards™ is GDUSA's flagship contest celebrates the best-in-class design firms, ad agencies, inhouse departments, institutions, associations and more. It honors outstanding work of all kinds — the best designs of the year — in print, packaging, p-o-p, internet, interactive, video and more. Winners received an engraved and embossed Certificate of Excellence for each winning piece and will be featured in the 58th Anniversary GDUSA Awards Annual in print, online, digital and mobile – seen by over 100,000 colleagues and clients each year.
